When to change rather than rekey

If the lock body itself is damaged — pried, drilled, kicked, or simply worn out — replacement is the answer. If the lock body is healthy and you just want the old keys to stop working, a cylinder swap or a rekey is usually cheaper and just as secure. On a callout we look at the hardware on your doors, tell you which route is appropriate per door, and price both.
