Where programming fits in

Almost every car built in the last twenty years has an immobiliser — a small chip inside the head of the key that the car's computer challenges and verifies before allowing the engine to start. Cut a perfect blade for a chipped car without programming the chip and the lock will turn but the engine won't run. Programming is the step that turns a piece of cut metal into a working car key.

Programming a spare while you still have a working key is fast and inexpensive — we clone the transponder using your existing key as a reference.
